About Far Out Bengals

We are in San Diego County, in the town of Santee in Southern, CA. Nicely nestled in the hills along with the coyotes so we DO NOT let our Bengal cat or kittens out of the house. We have taught them to walk on a harness and I, at times, have taken them for walks. Also there are times when the neutered pet and studs are able to run around the back yard with our 7 foot fence and play and they just don't have any interest in leaving. Now, of course, I am out there the whole time making sure nothing comes up giving them any thoughts in jumping the fence.

Why Choose Far Out Bengals?

I live with my Far Out Bengal Cats and Kittens; they do not live with me. They are not “MY cats…” well, their wish is my command.

Our Far Out Bengal cats and kittens are under foot and sleep in my bed when they are in the Bengal kitten socialization stage. I give the Far Out Bengal cats and kittens lots of love and affection, and I have been told that the love I give them is passed on to the new owner. That is one of the best comments to hear after selling a Far Out Bengal kitten! Many families end up coming back for another Far Out Bengal kitten as a buddy for their first Far Out Bengal kitten. I have made many great Bengal-cat-lover friends since I have started breeding. Check my Kittens page to see what beautiful babies I have available for you!

Bengal Traits

The Bengal cat (and Bengal kitten) is very smart and very dog-like in the sense that you can quickly teach the Bengal cat or Bengal kitten to fetch. When I come home they greet me at the door! You can even teach the Bengal cat or Bengal kittens to walk on a leash. The Bengal cat (and Bengal kitten) is very active and love to play and be in high places. It is best to have a cat tree when you bring Bengal kitten home. Bengal cats love to be up high. Don't be surprised if you see them walking a top of an open door. Yes, that very narrow edge.

General Bengal Cat Behavior

The Bengal cat (and Bengal kitten) is very smart, and quite like a dog in the sense that you can quickly teach the Bengal cat (or Bengal kitten) to fetch. When I come home they greet me at the door! In my bedroom I have shelves set up at different levels so they can travel along my high ceilings, which gives them a lot of joy (and me too when watching them make their way around the room - especially a newcomer getting to the age of being brave enough to give it a try). I do have to say, in all honesty, that at night not all the cats get to spend the night in my bed room, just the ones that like to sleep!

More Than A Cat

Keeping our mission in mind, we pay special attention to the characteristics of the Bengal Cat which are distinct from those found in other domestic cat breeds. Our Bengal cats are visibly different from other domestic cats and give their owners the feeling of owning a tiny leopard - a bit of the jungle. You are welcome to explore our site and read more about the Bengal cat. Take a tour, take your time and enjoy these wild looking beauties, the Bengal cat we love so much. All Bengal kittens are raised lovingly underfoot, pouncing and playing and weaving their place into the daily tapestry of our lives.

They can touch your life as much as a human - and that is just what I want you to have in a relationship with your new Far Out Bengal. I do my best to socialize my kittens and match you and the Bengal up in personalities. They do seem to do most of the work by picking you. They are very sensitive animals, and will hear your inner emotional cry, like a dog does. Believe me when I say the Bengal cat (and kitten) can hear your emotions, but will react a bit differently than a human - but WILL still touch your heart in ways you cannot imagine. Your Bengal kitten will be sold to you socialized in the way it should be, friendly and ready to be your best friend for life.

You are guaranteed a great Bengal kitten pet to enjoy for years to come. I personally put a lot of love and care into each and every one of my kittens. We are a small cattery, so I have the time to do so. I have been doing this for almost 10 years and I cannot see an end to what I love doing.

Far Out Bengals has tried to acquire the best natured Bengal cats that we can, so when we breed we will have the best Bengal kittens possible. This is why our Bengals have so many champion levels in their bloodlines. However, this is not the most important thing that I am proud of. Personality is a plus and a must. My goal is to provide you with a friend for life, and a positive experience with your Far Out Bengal Cat (or Kitten). We are breeding for not only excellent type, coats with beautiful markings, but we also think that having an extremely soft and silky coat is important and breed for this in all of our kittens as well. Most of all, I am very proud of the true Bengal cat (and Bengal kitten) personalities that leave my home. I know that Far Out Bengals, for the past 10 years, have made a lot of people’s lives more joyful. This year I have added a new line of F2, F3, F4 and F5 out of the Awagati Bengal Line. I am learning so much more, for these cats are much closer to the wild and surprisingly have very nice personalities too! I will tell you more as I learn more by my experience breeding and living with them. You will find them throughout this site.

All of our Bengal kittens will leave for their new homes at the age of twelve weeks. It is important not to take them from their mothers too early so that they have a strong immune system, have had the required shots and have learned all of their cat skills. All of our Bengal kittens will be litterbox trained and eating dry and canned food when they go to their new homes. All will have their first set of shots administered and will be checked for any health problems by my veterinarian. All Bengal kittens will come with a health guarantee when they arrive at their new homes.
