About Far Out Bengals
Located in San Diego County in the town of Santee
Here at FAR OUT BENGALS/ our bengal cats are not only in our
breeding program but also our beloved pets as well. Our females
Bengal cats live in the house with us and have plenty of day-to-day
special attention. Our males Bengal cats have their own area outside
run that allows for plenty of fresh air and room to move and stretch
out Our goal at far out Bengals is to raise and produce the highest
quality bengal kittens, quality pet and the rare and exotic show
cat.
We work with our bengal kittens to be a member of the family and be
social and interactive with your household. First and foremost, we
want to make sure that when all of our bengal kittens leave us they
go to their new home with great temperament, are healthy, happy and
playful like any bengal kitten should be. You are guaranteed a great
Bengal kittenspet to enjoy for years to come. I personally put a lot
of love and care into each and every one of my kittens. We are a
small cattery so I have the time to do so.
We here at FAROUT BENGALS have tried to acquire the best Bengals
kittens that we can, so that we would have the best bengal kittens
possible. This is why our Bengals have so many champion levels in
their bloodlines. We are breeding for not only excellent type, but
also clear sharp coats with beautiful markings. We also think that
having an extremely soft and silky coat is important and breed for
this in all of our kittens as well. Most of all I am very proud of
the true Bengal cats and bengal kittens personalities that leave my
home. I know that FAR OUT BENGAL for the past 8 years have made a
lot of peoples lives much more full of joy.
All of our bengal kittens will leave for their new homes at the age
of twelve weeks. It is important not to take them from their mothers
too early so that they have a strong immune system, had the required
shots and have learned all of the cat skills. All of our bengal
kittens will be litter box trained and eating dry and canned food
when they go to their new homes. All will have their first set of
shots administered they will be checked for any health problems by
my veterinarian. All bengal kittens will come with a health
guarantee when they arrive at their new homes.

Kismet and her Far-out Bengals are just the best of the best. I knew
nothing about the Bengal cat, just knew I wanted something different
looking. Kismet took me under her wing and guided me all the way to
obtaining my dream cat/member of my family. Kismet has the best
quality kittens and cats I’ve ever seen. She is incredibly
knowledgeable and devoted to producing not just cats but your
families dream member. I just cannot say enough wonderful things
about this woman or her gorgeous kitties. You would be absolutely
silly to go anywhere else than Far-out Bengals, "HONEST"

"I love my Far Out Bengal, Lucian. Not just a gorgeous cat with
ultra soft exotic fur, he is my family's caring companion. Social,
friendly, and affectionate, he has even become best of friends with
our 9 year old pit bull.
He is full of personality; so obviously smart & funny too! He
entertains us constantly with his charming personality and his vocal
inflections. Definitely unlike any cat I have ever met."

"I purchased a Far Out Bengal 4 years ago! It was the best thing
that I ever did for myself. I am living with aids and we have to be
careful of infection. My cat Bandit is all LOVE, KISSES, AND MY
BUDDY, threw this disease and has yet to have bitten me or scratched
me to a point that I need to put the proper ointment on my self in
fear of infection. Some people believe that the bengal cat carries
rare types of different strains of complex disease's that you can
get from them. Some one thought, and ask me, if I was afraid of
getting something, can't remember what, that would paralyze me! Well
I am hear to say that Far Out Bengals has made my life now at this
time of my life a better and happier place to be. Bandit is almost
person like. He gets under the covers in the winter and puts his
head on the pillow. Some times he actually will, when he is on top
of the covers lay a paw and his leg over me like a hug. He always
likes to be near me unlike so humans.
So any of you out their that needs a buddy a bengal cat a Far Out
bengal Cat I can recommend by all means to you."

"Hi Kismet,
I visited 3 different breeders before finding my “Sammy†from
Kismet at Far Out Bengals. Sammy is my beautiful little girl that is
the love of my life. She has the most wonderful personality and her
coat is unbelievable. When friends come to my house they can’t get
over how amazing she is. Sammy is my first Bengal and Kismet has
been so helpful and patient with me. Lots of questions. We bread
Sammy to her stud “Bowie†which produced 2 beautiful little
babies. I am now in love with this breed and know I can always turn
to Kismet with questions and advice. I would highly recommend Kismet
at Far Out Bengals to anyone who is looking for a good, honest
breeder. "

"We've known Kismet for several years now. Without Kismet and
Faroutbengals there would be no Boydsbengals. We bought our first
queen from Kismet and she helped our cattery get started, holding
our hand all the way!
Kismet also has an uncanny sixth sense when it comes to cats - she
is the penultimate 'cat lady' - knowing what her cats and kittens
need, and she runs a tight ship, when it comes to her cattery. We
are very lucky to have her as a mentor and a friend."

"I purchased A Far Out Bengal December 2006. This past year has been
absolutely fantastic since I purchased my kitty. Her name is Maui
and she is amazing. I have never owned a bengal before, and now I am
wondering why? The bengal is the most amazing breed. She is both
mine and my 9 year old daughter's best friend. The personality of a
bengal is nothing that I have ever expierenced before. I have had
many different cats in my life, and none of them compared to Maui.
Anybody out there that is contemplating getting a bengal, do it.
Purchasing one of these beautifully amazing cats will change your
life forever, and be the best decision you could make when getting a
cat. We thank Far Out Bengals for giving us such an awsome
cat!!!!!!!"

HELLO
Thank you for the coversation the other night. I had to look up -
Kismet (principle), the magnetic attractive force that actualizes
the playing out of karma; often used in the positive sense.
Fate 1 : the will or principle or determining cause by which things
in general are believed to come to be as they are or events to
happen as they do : DESTINY
I would love to see the kittens. I'm really not sure if I can meet
the financial obligation but want to meet where I will be getting my
companion from. Also in hopes that you might share some thoughts of
wisdom. I'm not at my best with out my Oreo cat. Pictures of Oreo
and Kyia both on the bed, I was allowed to sleep in the middle."

"In late 2005 I found myself living alone for the first time in 24
years. My son had taken a job in No. Cal. and moved away from home.
Being retired I had more time on my hands than I knew what to do
with so I started thinking about getting a cat to replace my
Egyptian Mau that had squeezed his way through a loose window screen
and disappeared. When I lost E. Mau I vowed to never get another cat
since I couldn't let it outside and I didn't want to deal with an
indoor litter box.
I started looking for another Egyptian Mau since, up until that
time, he was my favorite cat with his great personality and a
vocabulary that included chirps, whistles and various non-cat
sounds. Even though he was great with me and my son, he freaked out
whenever a stranger came around, either hiding for hours or trying
to jump through closed windows. I checked around the internet for
local breeders but no one had any kittens. I also looked at American
Bobtails but none available.
While I had heard of the Bengal Cat breed I had never been around
one and the stories about them being extremely high-strung caused
concern, especially for a indoor cat. It was about that time that I
ran across the FarOut Bengal's website and saw Dakota Sky. She was
18 months old and had been spayed. I then contacted Kismet and
arranged for a meeting to see her in person. Before I could get to
her house she called me and told me that her husband did not want to
sell Dakota. The next day Kismet called back and told me that she
was available if I still wanted her.
I drove to Lake Side and met Kismet at her house. Since I was still
concerned about the Bengal's temperament I wanted to see how she
reacted to a stranger and around the house. Dakota was there with
her younger half-brother and within two minutes of my arrival they
were both putting on a show, approaching me to be petted but just
moving out of reach at the last second. An old cat trick. When I saw
that she was probably fully grown and that Kismet had a big screen
tv with its wiring intact and various items on tables around the
house I knew that these cats had been well socialized and were
beyond the chewing stage.
I saw the outdoor cattery area with Dakota's father, an extremely
friendly hybrid, which was spotless. By this time Dakota had allowed
me to pet her and I decided to take her home. Luckily I had a cat
carrier since she did not like the ride home.
I stopped to pick up some food and litter materials and, having
checked out the Asian Leopard Cat web site, bought a leash and
harness so I could take her outside safely. It only took her a day
or so to adjust to her new surroundings, using her box from the
start. I was still anxious as to how she would react to strangers so
when my pool service guy came to clean the pool I took her outside
on her leash as a test. Luckily the pool guy likes cats and she put
on a show, rubbing around his legs, playing in the water, very
people friendly. Nice job, Kismet. We both started to adjust, with
her sitting on my lap most of the time and sleeping in my bed, on my
back, of course. About that time I got a call from my son that his
job was finished early and that he was driving home the next day.
Since I was using his bedroom for storage I had kept the door closed
and Kota, as she was now called, had never been inside it. I was
still concerned about how she would react with my son living here so
soon after bringing her home. When he arrived he said hello to her
but wanted to go to bed after driving all night so he laid down on
his bed and fell asleep. Shortly after that I was trying to find
Kota, looked inside his bed room. He was asleep on his bed and Kota
was laying at the foot of his bed wide awake. I firmly believe to
this day that she purposely positioned herself between him and the
door as a look out for protection against intruders. It was a crazy
scene, her wide awake guarding the doorway, as if to say that she
knew he was part of the family. Luckily my son likes cats and she
gets lots of attention from us both. We share walking chores outside
around the pool where she goes into hunt mode as soon as she leaves
the house, looking everywhere for birds, lizards and marking her
territory for other cats. She recognizes both our vehicles and will
jump up from my bed to run to the front door when she hears my son's
truck coming up the street. She does the same for my car but not for
stranger's vehicles. She did start to greet a tile guy who worked
here for a couple of weeks and loves to be petted and brushed by
visitors. She definitely runs the house, deferring occasionally to
her humans. Its a difficult concept for a cat to grasp why playing
in the water on the bathroom sink while I'm shaving is ok but
playing in the water on the kitchen counter while I'm washing the
dishes in not ok. But she figured it out. I got her a Litter Robot
that automatically cycles through when used. My son calls it her
Space Capsule.
At this point I would say she is our all time favorite cat and would
recommend the Bengal breed and FarOut Bengals to anyone who is
serious about having a great pet, companion, ruler."
